ugh. with the bridal shower and wedding junk this weekend, i won't have a moment to myself.

i am so ready for a break. nashville, anyone?

my work email has some serious issues. it's been acting up for a few weeks, now and i am just about over it. ugh. it's bad enough i can't access yahoo from here, but now...i can't even check my WORK email.

lame. lame. lame.

we have an incredible group of friends...

a group of them got together and sent us a "dmb nashville getaway" as a wedding present. airfare, hotel, tickets, etc.

i can't even begin to express my happiness right now. we truly are blessed.

soooo...we just had lunch with my cousin roxy. he's in town to broadcast the cal-kstate game today...

anyway. we're driving home from lunch and he asks us if we went to the john mayer/counting crows show. we told him we did...

his response? "you know adam is my best friend..."

JIGGA FUCKING WHAT????

AND he'll be at my cousin (his sisters) wedding in May. holy.fucking.shit.

working at a hospital in hr definitely has its advantages.

for example, where else would you see the word vagina on a resume...

i am so stressed out.

i've spent the past two nights putting together invitations so that they can be taken to the calligrapher. i never anticipated the little things being a. so time consuming and b. so STRESSFUL.

luckily, john has been a trooper for the most part. it's hard with the dog, because on of us has to keep him occupied at all times. otherwise, we'd have a big fat mess of invitations.

at any rate, the invitations are *hopefully* being sent out next weekend. i wonder if having them out will cause more stress or be some sort of relief.

i'm assuming the former.

what an excellent weekend!

i had a wonderfull time. it was so beautiful and calm. no phones, no tv, no drama. just us, enjoying nature. me! enjoying nature. i didn't even mind camping! i really enjoyed it. and going out on the river? it was incredible. the best part was at the very end of the float. we had stayed behind a bit at one point, leaving us about ten minutes behind john's family. anyway. about 20 minutes before we got back to our campsite, it was just us. surrounded by the river and tons of trees. completely silent. just the two of us and nature. i don't think i will ever forget that moment.

i know you're all shocked, now. come on, admit it!

well, the time has come! the camping trip weekend has arrived and i am SOOOO excited!!!!

monday. this weekend went by too fast. i feel as though i got nothing accomplished. don't you hate it when that happens?

this week should be quite busy. my boss is out tomorrow-next monday and this weekend is the dunn family camping trip. you heard it, *i* am going camping. and, i couldn't be more excited! it's really a canoe trip but there's camping involved. ANYWAY. john's dad keeps mentioning sharks to me. and aligators. and snapping turtles. but he can't fool me! i'm the smartest, ever.

also, i did the crest night whitening thing...TOTALLY worked. my teeth aren't white white, but it made a significant difference. i figure i'll do it again before the wedding...

and the dilemma of the week: how do you tell people who think they're invited to the wedding that they aren't? unfortunately, we aren't able to invite everyone to the wedding and i don't want anyone to feel left out. suggestions???

i am so ready for the weekend.

ready to listen to the dmb sandstone/dallas/san antonio shows.

ready to relax.

and, ready to tackle the wedding "to do" list.

after two months of listening to our upstairs neighbors fight at 2am, we finally called the cops. john and i watched peeked through the blinds to check out all of the drama. they took pictures of her body (i'd assume at her bruises and whatnot), and did a walk through of their apartment. an hour later, we watched them cuff him and stick him in the back of the cop car. five minutes later, they brought her down and cuffed her, too. john thinks she had drugs, or something. i wonder if she fought back and he pressed charges against her? regardless. it was probably one of the hardest things to do - but i am so glad i did it.
