the spider lives!!!
john found it the night before last, making a new web closer to the house. this time, he killed it. i know, killing is bad but this thing was huge and definitely could have done some harm with it's bite.

In the aftermath of a bad hurricane, a huge banana spider built its web from the top of our full-sized van to the roof of our house and down to the ground. To take out the monster, I held a shoe near the lurking arachnid and my son wielded a shoe from the opposite side of the web. Talk about a coordinated effort ...
