so, i ended up going and let me say...
IT WAS INCREDIBLE.
seriously, i have not been to a show with that much energy in forever. first off, they walk on stage with the house lights on to elevation and then, they start playing elevation with the lights on. awesome. anyway, i don't want to give away too much but i will say this; they played one. while they played it, they had the names of everyone on the flights that crashed on september 11th, running along the screen behind the stage. all of the police officers that died, and all of the firefighters as well. it was odd how one name stuck out. i won't type that name on my blog out of respect of a mourning friend. babe, i totally cried. it's weird how things strike you in a certain way. i'm not saying that i didn't cry before tonight about the things that happened on september 11th but, for some reason tonight, it struck me more than it ever has. maybe it was seeing all the victims names in print. maybe it was hearing the lyrics to one or walk on. i can't pin point exactly what it was, but it was incredible. almost a release.
and on that note, my bed is calling my name.
