dinner with sharon...
always fun. we decided on max's opera cafe because it was nice and we didn't think it would have much of a wait.
right before sharon got to my house, nana called. apparently she hadn't gotten out of bed all day and didn't even have a drop of milk in her fridge. being the nice granddaughter i am, i picked up some milk, and a turkey sandwich. sharon and i bring the groceries over to her house. nana is all bundled up in her bed...i introduce her to sharon. the first thing she says? "oh, what a pretty girl you are!" heh. that's how cute my nana is. then she says, "i've never met you before, how do you know eachother?". i reply, "we dated the same boy-at the same time." she laughed. we chatted for a bit and then i took sharon on the mini tour of the time warp i call nana's house. my mom's room still has the carpeting and furniture it did when she was oh, 15. BRIGHT PINK. ask sharon if i am joking.
we leave and head to max's. the wait is 20 minutes so, we grab a drink (yes, even i had a glass of wine) and enjoyed the smooth stylings of the lounge singer in the bar. he was fabulous. heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
proceed to our table (which was a table for six, which was really for two) and order a great dinner. i had pasta with portabella mushrooms and garlic. sharon had some meaty pasta thing. then...apple pie a la mode for dessert. YUM.
over all- good times and good conversations!
