ice storms and the effect they have on everyday people...

as predicted, we had a little bit of an ice storm last night. for the most part, the roads are clear and people should be able to drive to work. it's not like we got 4 inches of ice. or 2 for that matter. we got about a half inch.

which leads me to my frustration. here i am (got here at 6:50am, thank you very much.), an hourly employee who is in an assistant and yet, our ceo is no where to be found. my supervisor who lives right near me isn't in yet as well as several other "higher ups".

why is it that it's ok for them to be late or not come in on an ice day but if we (the common folk) call in or come in late, we get written up. such bs.

seriously, i am really disappointed with this organization and the values of our "leaders".
