last night i was invited to dinner over at elise's. marcus had just flown in the night before and i really wanted to see him before he heads to chicago. anyway, i get there and everyone is talking about going to out dinner. keep in mind that it takes almost 2 hours to get her whole family situated so that we can go out. finally, at 7:30 we head out to frankie, johnnie and luigi, too. it's this really nice italian place in mountain view. excellent food. massive portions.

we all finish our meals and marcus pulls out a box. (he had proposed in july, but wanted to design the perfect ring for her. he did so when he went back to australia) i start crying on the spot. she opens the box, and puts the ring on her finger.

it was so romantic. :) and now, as elise's mom says; "they're officially engaged!"

one year and 3 days till the big wedding.
