i had the most amazing weekend.

i should probably fill you all in on where i went, who i was with and what i did.

so, i will.

i went to kansas. for a while, i have referred to someone on my blog as the "ib", which stands for "internet boyfriend". at first it was completely plutonic, we were amigos. he had a girlfriend and i had a boyfriend. people would constantly make fun of us and tell us that we should be together. however, he lives kansas and i live in california. not the ideal situation. we talked a few times on the phone and i thought he was cool but, i didn't think anything would come of it. a few weeks later, we're on the phone every night and instant messaging eachother all day. it was insane. i started to develop strong feelings for him. feelings that could have been thought of as a crush but feelings that i thought were deeper than that.

the guy is the sweetest, kindest soul i have ever known. he knows me so well. doesn't care that i have a moodswing every 5 minutes, in fact he thinks it's cute. (we'll see how long THAT lasts.) anyway, after a few months of communication, we decide that we should meet.

being the strong woman of the 21st century that i am, i book a ticket to go to kansas city. ironically, the night we decided on the weekend, i got an email saying that john mayer was going to be playing near him that friday night. being the romantic i am, i take it as a sign :)

thursday afternoon i got on a plane...and flew 2000 miles to see this guy. someone whom i have never met. someone whom i think i have this connection with. but what happens if i get there and he hates me? that was the only fear i had. luckily, that was not the case. i got off the plane in kansas city and from the moment i saw him, i knew.

i could go on and on about the weekend. there were so many amazing things that happened. the best was watching farm aid on saturday night. he cooked this amazing pasta with shrimp, asparagus and tomatoes.(it was DAMN good!) we sat on the couch cuddled up watching all the bands play. it was incredible.

anyway, i have myself a new boyfriend. and he is the best. :)
